April 2008 - HAPPY JACK, John Godber's comic masterpiece, hits the road for 36 dates covering the rural Midlands from the East coast to the Welsh borders, as well as home territory in Yorkshire. House size averages 87%.
Jack and Liz are the funny, bickering couple from Godber's earlier comedy masterpiece SEPTEMBER IN THE RAIN, toured by the company through 2007.
From their courtship to retirement, they weave a path through their long life together in a play, which is neat, joyous and celebratory. Jack is a larger than life miner and Liz his nagging & clacking wife!
Full of comedy and pathos, the show had the audiencel laughing one minute and crying the next!
Directed by David Powley.
